Stocks Hill Houses - Planning Application

The houses shown on a plan

The Parish Council have been advised that Crocus Homes have now formally submitted their plans to South Norfolk District Council to build 35 houses on land opposite the Village Hall on Stocks Hill.

The planning application can be viewed online at:

Mark Tudor said, “The Parish Council have rejected this application in the strongest terms and offered a fair and reasonable compromise; regardless Crocus Homes are pushing ahead. Should they be successful, it will change the shape, feel and landscape of the village for good. We now urgently need the help and support of everyone in the village to write to South Norfolk District Council opposing the development. Even if you are directly unaffected and it’s not in your own back yard, please join forces with those who are directly affected and show a true sense of Bawburgh community spirt by writing to SNDC outlining why you are opposed. Needless to say, the more people who oppose, the stronger our case will be. We have received fantastic support from local Councillors and our new MP who is lobbying hard for us but now we need the residents to step in for that final push!"

You can also submit comments or objections very quickly and simply by emailing:

planning@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk

You will receive an acknowledgement from Glen Beaumont, Head of Planning.

The deadline to do this has been extended to January 10th 2025.
